It Begins With... Community
Rivers Edge does a tremendous amount of mission work and ministry in our own community.
Within our own fellowship the intercessory prayer team gathers weekly in private homes and on the first Monday of every month at the church. Meal teams take prepared food for families in need.
We also have a benevolence team that assists the pastor and Elders in meeting the physical and financial needs in our church family and our greater Western Nassau and Southern Charlton County communities.
In the past year we have done a number of light construction repair jobs like water pump repair,
handicap ramps, step replacement, and basic lawn care for those who could not afford such services.
We also provide food, make utility payments, assist in funeral expenses, and many other ways to serve those in need.
One of the hallmarks of Rivers Edge is we do not say “No” to any need we can financially or physically meet. We view all money as the Lord’s money and with wisdom and prayer we strive to minister to the “Least” among us through good stewardship of our resources.

Seeking to improve their health and well-being, Barnabas provides help and hope to individuals and families in need throughout Nassau County.
Rivers Edge assists Barnabas with their annual food collection at the Northeast Florida Fair each October as well as throughout the year.

Seafarers Ministry

Did you know that approximately forty cargo ships a year visit the Port of Fernandina?
In July of 2020, the Seafarers Ministry was established to provide every sailor on every cargo vessel with a copy of the New Testament and a 4-Spiritual Laws tract in his or her native language. Additionally, each sailor is given a gift bag with snacks and toiletries.

During 2024 Rivers Edge has supported Christ Deliverz Ministries in numerous outreaches, from local basketball and Bible studies at Ewing park in Callahan, monthly homeless ministry and outreach in downtown Jacksonville.

everything from dressers to beds to car seats to other types of assistance. This helps allow the children to stay or be reunited with
