Go therefore and make disciples of all nations

Matthew 28:19

Rivers Edge Church Ministries is a non-denominational, evangelical fellowship of churches in East Africa based out of Kenya. We currently have four fully supported ministries in Kenya, a deaf enterprise initiative in Kakamega, and a School of Ministry in Nairobi. We have now also planted churches in other East African countries in 2025 such as Uganda, Congo and South Sudan.

Meet Our Missions

Nairobi

REC Church and School of Ministry
Rivers Edge Nairobi began  out of a desire to plant a church in Nairobi County that changes the way many people view the church of today. Our services are  centered on the teaching of the Bible from Genesis to Revelation.

The Rivers Edge Church School of Ministry offers a 2 yr degree in Biblical Studies. We  offer both expository and topical studies in a way people can follow and  grow in their faith.

We believe that in the freedom of worship and the  teaching of scripture people, families and our community are changed to  reflect the greatness of God in their lives.

Please join us on this  amazing faith adventure!

Okana

REC Church and School for Children and Orphans
Due to costs, families often have to pick one child to go to school while the other children remain uneducated. This is where Rivers Edge steps in to help. Our community school serves children who would not otherwise get an education by giving them access to a top-rated education at little to no cost to the family. We now serve approximately 200 children preschool-6th grade.

Kakamega

Kakamega Deaf Initiative
Brother Boniface Ochi and Brother Johnston Mukoya lead our newly planted Deaf Church and oversee all of our deaf ministry initiatives in the Kakamega region of Kenya. We assist the deaf community with Christmas Food distribution and outreach events, school fees for deaf children, and business enterprise startups.
Home Bible Study
We regularly conduct home Bible studies and opportunities for the deaf community to gather together for fellowship.
Deaf Business Enterprise
With one of the highest rates of unemployment, our mission is to support deaf members of the community with an opportunity to earn an income. We have recently started a business where the deaf are employed to wash cars. They fully own the equipment, lease the land and run the business then share the profits
Community Outreach
We conduct regular feeding programs in the deaf community.

Kibos

Ministry to Orphans Kibos
Pastor Joseph oversees our ministry to orphans in the Kibos region outside of Kisumu. He assures they are feed, clothed, living in a safe environment and getting an education. He also advocates for orphans in the community and serves as Pastor in a local church.
